Giving Friends is a NY non-profit that has expanded from a seasonal toy-drive initiative to a year-round program. Their goal is to give hope and smiles to families living in homeless shelters, in underserved communities, in foster care, or in substance and alcohol recovery-based programs.
In fact, founder Lynne Corry was homeless and battling addiction herself before starting this life-enhancing initiative. She was separated from her son Tyler when she was admitted to a recovery program. Lynne was able to turn her life around and now works to give back in a wonderful way to vulnerable families in New York.
We were so touched by the story of this non-profit and as #AgentsofChange, we hope to support their efforts by providing help to communities in our town. We’ll utilize our voice and our resources to families that need a lift.
